Antique Mccormick Oak
Antique Mccormick Oak
Cyrus Hall McCormick had a better idea. Growing up on a farm in the early 1800’s, he knew what hard work was. He was sure there had to be a better way to harvest wheat than old-fashion hand labor. The fruit of his idea was the first mechanized reaper-The McCormick Reaper. Now wheat harvest was a breeze! Mr. McCormick’s invention lives on today in the huge harvesters that harvest American corn and wheat-your daily bread!
Our Antique McCormick Flooring and Wallboard is manufactured from reclaimed lumber harvested from old American barns and houses. Probably as old as Cyrus H. McCormick. Maybe older. Who knows?
Maybe an old McCormick threshing machine was park right on top of this lumber! Antique McCormick Oak. An American original. Manufactured from kiln-dried reclaimed mixed hardwoods, we take pleasure in every plank we make. Antique McCormick Oak mixes the look of clean
face patina with fresher looking planks of reclaimed hardwoods. Cyrus McCormick might have said-Install this in my kitchen. It’s so clean-looking! Expect nail holes (we think more is better). Look for some bug tracks. They needed a place to spend the winter, too. We leave in the surface checks and cracks that do not compromise the soundness of the plank. After all, wouldn’t some stress be apparent after a hundred freezing winters and a hundred blazing summers?
You choose your look. Unfinished, Tung-oiled, or a low sheen urethane as pictured. Cyrus McCormick and company said – Our Field Is the World. We say – Our Field Is Your Floor! Here it is. Rural America Reclaimed. It’s Antique McCormick Oak!
